조기유학 UK Boarding school placement

Find the right boarding school - with someone who has actually experienced it all.

Most agencies send you a brochure and a shortlist. I went to the schools myself. I walked the campuses, met the staff, and understood each school's culture from the inside. Most importantly, I was a student. That's the difference you get from My EDU Prep.

Is this right for your child?

UK boarding school is a significant investment — in money, in distance, and in your child's development. It suits some students far more than others. Here's who tends to do best.

Direction

Motivated and curious students

Students who want a different kind of education — one that goes beyond rote learning and exam pressure.
Questions

Students who are affected by environment

Students who are easily influenced by what is around them. This means the environment they are exposed in is crucial for their quality of life.
Considering

Families who are fully committed

UK boarding school fees are substantial. Families who succeed are those who go in clear-eyed about the commitment — and fully behind their child's decision.

What we do together, step by step

Every family's journey is different. Here is what the process typically looks like.

*Our placement service is commission-based,paid by the schools, not by your family. Your initial consultation is completely free.*

Step 1

Free initial consultation

We begin with an open, relaxed conversation. No forms, no pressure. I want to understand your child's personality, interests, academic background, and what your family is hoping for. In Korean or English, whichever is more comfortable.
Step 4

Entrance exam & interview preparation

I offer up to three coaching sessions for entrance exam and interview preparation as part of the service. For students who need more intensive support, additional sessions are available at an extra cost. Interview coaching is something I particularly enjoy, helping students present themselves with confidence and authenticity.
Step 2

Personalised school shortlisting

Based on our conversation, I recommend a shortlist of schools that genuinely fit your child — drawing on my first-hand knowledge of each school's atmosphere, teaching style, pastoral care, and student community. I'll be honest about where your child is most likely to thrive, not just where they're most likely to get in.
Step 5

Post-acceptance transition support

Receiving an offer is just the beginning. I help your child prepare for the practical and emotional realities of boarding school life in the UK — from what to expect in the classroom to how to navigate homesickness and build friendships across cultures. I've been that student. I know what helps.
Step 3

Application support & submission

I guide your family through every part of the application — from completing school forms and writing supporting statements to understanding each school's specific requirements and deadlines. Nothing falls through the cracks.
Step 6

Continued support and guidance

My EDU Prep specialises in top university coaching and guidance. In order for your child to go the right direction, we offer montly guidance. This includes working with school staff, parents and all extra curricular roadmap so that your child will be well prepared to be accepted into top-tier universities, including Oxbridge.

Schools I know personally

I have visited each of these schools in person — not as a tourist, but to understand their academic culture, pastoral environment, and suitability for Korean students.

Questions

Common questions from families exploring early planning

Is this only for families already committed to international school?

No. This service is for families still exploring options. If you're weighing Korean education against international school, thinking about timing, or simply wanting clarity before deciding, this guidance is designed for you. The goal is to help you think through what matters most, not to push you toward any particular choice.

How early is too early?

There is no such thing as too early when you're thinking about direction. Many families find that clarity at age 10 or 11 prevents confusion later. Early guidance helps you understand the landscape, consider timing, and make intentional choices rather than reactive ones. The earlier you think, the more options remain open.

Can parents start without the child being involved?

Absolutely. Many parents begin by clarifying their own thinking and concerns. Marianne can help you structure questions, understand options, and build confidence before involving your child. This often leads to more thoughtful family conversations later.

How is this different from an agency?

Agencies typically focus on school placement and volume. This service is independent, founder-led, and focused entirely on your family's clarity and confidence. Marianne works with a small number of families, listens carefully, and helps you think through what's right for your situation-not what's easiest to place.

What if we are still unsure about direction?

Uncertainty is exactly why families seek this guidance. Marianne helps you move from confusion to clarity by asking better questions and helping you understand what factors matter most. Leaving with a clearer sense of direction-even if the final choice isn't yet made-is the whole point.
