My EDU Prep
While working at international schools and universities, I witnessed the same scenes repeatedly for years.
The sight of talented Korean students navigating Western entrance exams almost entirely on their own.
Without insider information, cultural context, or honest advice.
The reason for creating MyEduPrep is simple.
This is because I believe you must truly understand other cultures and be able to receive honest and realistic advice from those who have already walked that path.
I wanted to create an educational consulting service that, rather than a large-scale study abroad agency, sincerely understands each and every student and helps them find the most suitable direction.
From Korea to Cambridge — and back again
Moved to the UK alone for secondary school
After completing primary school in Korea, I made the journey to the UK alone to pursue secondary education — completing my GCSEs and A-levels. I know first-hand what it takes for a Korean student to adapt, thrive, and belong in a British school environment.
Undergraduate degree in Music
I studied Music at the University of York — an experience that deepened my understanding of creative disciplines, independent thinking, and what it means to pursue a passion in a rigorous academic environment.
Teaching — and guiding students to Ivy League universities
Returning to Korea, I taught English at an international school for three years. What I loved most was mentoring students who needed guidance beyond the classroom — coaching and training them to gain offers from Ivy League and top UK universities. Seeing that potential realised became my focus.
MEd in Educational Leadership & School Improvement — First Class
Wanting to deepen my expertise, I returned to the UK to study at Cambridge. My thesis explored the relationship between parental involvement and students' fear of failure — research that continues to shape how I work with families today.
NEASC / CIS accreditation evaluator & founder of 마이에듀프렙
I now serve as a preparatory evaluator for NEASC/CIS international school accreditation, having worked with schools including NLCS, SJA Jeju, and Dulwich College. Alongside this, I founded 마이에듀프렙 to give Korean families the direct, expert guidance I once wished had existed for me.
