Generic editing polishes your words. Our consultants do something fundamentally different. They know the intellectual depth, the structure, and the voice that admissions teams in your field are actually looking for, because they have been through that exact process themselves.
All our consultants are Cambridge, Harvard, or Oxford graduates — at professor level. They are personally trained by Marianne and matched to your specific subject and needs. A chemistry applicant works with a chemistry specialist. An engineering applicant works with an engineer. Subject expertise is not optional — it is the entire point.
A note on AI. Every consultant knows what a genuinely deserving essay looks like from the inside. That is something AI fundamentally cannot replicate (at least, yet). Please do not trust AI for your personal statement. Admissions teams know, and the stakes are too high.

Initial consultation — with Marianne personally
This first conversation is with Marianne herself — via Kakao Talk, call, or Zoom. She will want to explore your academic journey, your genuine interests and experiences, and make an honest assessment of your chances. There is no point proceeding if the application is unlikely to succeed - and we will tell you that honestly, with respect, before any commitment is made.
Document review & consultant confirmation -
Once you have spoken with Marianne, your matched subject-specialist consultant will carry out a thorough review of your existing draft or materials. They assess whether your application has a genuine chance of success. If the answer is yes, the project is confirmed and the detailed work begins.
Draft & deep feedback
Your consultant provides detailed, structured feedback — not just grammar and flow, but the
strength of your argument, the clarity of your academic identity, and whether the essay sounds
like you at your best. This is an active collaboration: documents go back and forth, and your input
is essential throughout. We bring the expertise; you bring the voice.
Unlimited revisions — until we're all happy
Good to know: Unlimited revisions apply to your agreed core document. Completely new content - for example, a new essay for an additional university added later — is treated as a separate document. Our consultants will always recommend what they believe is the strongest version; if you prefer a different direction, we will explore it with you, but we cannot be held responsible for a final version that goes against our professional recommendation.

Will you write the essay for me?
No — and this matters. Admissions teams are highly skilled at identifying essays that don't sound like the applicant. Our role is to help your voice and your ideas come through as clearly and compellingly as possible. The experiences, the thinking, and the passion must be yours. We make sure they land.
How many rounds of editing are included?
Unlimited, for your core document. We do not stop until the essay is genuinely ready to submit - some students need three rounds, some need ten. That said, unlimited revisions apply to the agreed scope of work. Entirely new content added later - such as an essay for an additional university - is treated as a separate document. And if you wish to take the essay in a direction our consultant disagrees with professionally, we will try it with you, but we cannot be held responsible for the outcome.
What if I'm applying to multiple universities or countries?
Absolutely. Many of our students apply to universities across the UK, US, and other English-speaking countries simultaneously. We tailor our support to each application's specific requirements — UCAS has very different conventions from a US Common App or a graduate statement of purpose, and we know all of them.
